Construction Chemicals In September 2006, Built Environs completed the $5.5M Construction Chemicals project, an office, factory and warehouse complex in Wingfield, South Australia. The project delivered a 1,000m2 two-storey office and laboratory block, a 10,000m2 factory/warehouse, over 15,000m2 of external concrete hardstand areas, and 2,000m2 of landscaped areas, along with industrial plant and equipment and flammable goods storage areas. The two-storey office and laboratory building achieved a Green Star Rating for energy efficiency. The project was an interesting mix of steel construction, detailed office area and state-of-the-art laboratory fit outs and high-tech factory and warehouse provisioning. An early works package for the project required re-construction of the natural ground, sub-grading and site remediation. Despite numerous changes during the course of the project, the Built Environs team delivered the project on schedule within 32 weeks.
